Honor the lives of Sam Nordquist, Tahiry Broom and all our Trans, Two-Spirit, Non-Binary and Gender Expansive kin who keep being taken from us too soon due to systemic violence.

We also want to recognize that Trans, 2Spirit, Non-Binary and Gender Expansive folks need to be held in community during this time and have room to process whatever feelings we might be experiencing right now while recognizing that our cis allies, friends, and families might also want to show up in support.

Trans, Two-Spirit, Non-Binary and Gender Expansive communities and their loved ones are invited to share food, sacred space, and a grief ritual at Halcyon House in downtown Duluth, where we will be anchoring a T4T (trans for trans) space centering grief and care. Feel free to bring items for elemental altars (air, fire, water, and earth) if you would like to, and/or items to honor Sam and Tahiry.

In the spirit of Disability Justice and community care, we ask people to mask in this space. Masks will be available on arrival if needed.

Halcyon House is located at 11 E Michigan Street and is an ADA accessible venue. Accessible parking is available in front of the building.

During that same time (on Sunday, February 23rd at 6pm), cis allies are invited to participate in a solidarity vigil for trans lives at The corner of Lake Avenue & Superior street. Bring candles and signs and consider making a donation to Sam Nordquist’s family to honor his life and help them fight for justice -- https://gofund.me/f36383bf

With care and in solidarity,
Glitter Moss Collective
